I know there has been a million threads on this. But ive searched and cant quite get the question im asking answered... So ive got some shake between 50-65mph. And driving above 50mph requires my full attention to the steering wheel. In a few months ill be swapping in the suspension from a 16 in to my truck so ill have about another 1" of lift all the way around. Ill also be purchasing some spc ucas and some dorman wheel bearing assemblies from rock auto. Im seriously crossing my fingers that this steering issue will be fixed after all of this. Ive gone through everything under my truck including inner and outter tie rods, upper and lower ball joints etc all of that seems good... I know i do have one bad wheel bearing which is why ill be replacing it here shortly. But for some reason i have my heart set on the wheel bearing issue causing my steering wheel to shake slightly and why i feel my truck likes to wonder so much. Is this possible? Can a wheel bearing cause this? Or do i need to be looking at something else? Im feeling like i should just do all of this and see what happens. OR just try to go straight to the meat and bones and start replacing all the bushings while i have everything torn apart. Idk... Im frustrated. Been dealing with this almost since i bought the truck. Ive done roadforce balances, static and dynamic balances etc... Alignment is slightly off but within spec... According to the guy doing it. But thats while i will also be purchasing the ucas. Thoughts? Sorry for the rant.

Whats the caster on the alignment? When lifted, you may need more than 'in spec'. If you dont have enough, you get the wandering feeling.

Its been quite a while since ive had it done (4-6 months) so i honestly couldnt tell you. I just know, based off of alll my research and knowing how tacos work, it could be better. Hence the new ucas ill be putting in.

Needs more caster to get rid of the bump steer and wandering. The shaking could be several things, tires unbalanced is another possibility. Get the bearing replaced and go from there.

    I agree.

Yes, wheel bearings if bad can cause that. I had a wheel bearing go bad in my car and it wandered on the freeway and sounded like I had crappy mud terrains lol.
To me it sounds like alignment too. When you got your alignment did you have them print it out? I do my own alignment and noticed when I had tow out very slightly on the freeway it would wander on the patches/uneven parts. A bad wheel bearing can throw out the alignment while moving*

Yeah i try to always get a print out. Last alignment was about 6 months ago so i just dont have the print out anymore. But i remember it not being perfect. I guess ive just learned to deal with this problem in the laat 2 years ive had the truck
