I assume youre being sarcastic, which makes me LOL because if Toyota made the Tacoma with a factory 2" lift and Duratracs you and everyone else would be heralding it as the second coming of Christ.

Or one of the most important part of the ZR2; Multimatic bypass shocks.

I'll take +2" lift and 31" on bypass shocks over 33" and +3" with plain jane bilstein shocks.

Just did some comparisons and this thing is $2500 cheaper than a TRD Pro, and obviously way better, so I gotta say... looks like a deal too good to pass up.

It's also cheaper than a Wrangler Rubicon Recon, it's closest non-truck competitor.

    That's amazing.

Until I consider . . . OK, so give them my paid for Gen One with Boss COs up front, Deaver J59s and Bilstein 5125s in back, Backflip Cover, 525W tunes, nearly new wheels/tires that only has 63K miles on the clock AND

    :facepalm::crazy:

Geez, I'm finally turning into that "no fun at all, get off my lawn" old fart I always said I would NEVER let happen!

Well, I minimally have to wait a year and see how the new 8 speed does and if they do indeed stick it behind that diesel?

Beautiful truck but that 32.5K, well, how much would you be out if it was a Taco TRD pro instead of the ZR2? That part of it seems to be at best, a wash.

True, why I won't be upgrading to a new Tacoma either. I absolutely love the look, size, diesel is a little underpowered from what it could be but probably OK, and we have to get that weak 6 speed tranny out from behind it before I would even consider [let's not forget that tranny is only rated for 330lb.ft] . . . but, I've got a Gen One with 65K miles, great shape, no real need either other than I miss 4WD horribly! Thought at my age, that would wane, but it didn't. The merely dozen times per year I still need it, I do still wish I had it. Then there are the several dozen times per year I just wish I had it.

Yeah, I'll probably own one in a couple months . . .:notsure:

It's like anything, once you get a taste of something better, it's hard to go back. After I got my 1st 4x4 I was hooked, I don't think I could go back to 2wd (Canadian Winters).

The price of these new vehicles is getting crazy & your in a tough spot (want more than need), you have a good truck & always worried if you get a new one & it may turn out to be one that has more problems than the old one!

    Needs a V8. I just love the sound of a V8. Not Ford's sonic enhancement, but a real V8.

These are starting to land at dealerships. Nice looking trucks with a lot of content for the money. Can't wait to see one in person, 3.5" wider track width (not offset wheels, cough.... trd pro) and 2" higher sounds like a cool looking truck.

However my 4Runner Trail just Turned 1 year old yesterday so I'll be just a looker for the next few years....

I'm really looking forward to a Tacoma trd pro comparison. Both good trucks.

    Oh, all right . . . I'll go buy one tomorrow and write up a review . . .

Meh, not worth the ridicule . . .

Let's see . . . I've got a 1977 Kawasaki LTD 1000 that a friend that now sells Harleys recently valued at between $7-8K trade in on a new Harley if I got it running [I only paid $2200 for it brand new in 1976] and [2] ridiculously expensive Gibson guitars I am afraid to even play for fear I will ding one up that I thought I needed many years ago for no apparent reason that are worth another $12K . . . so now along with my Tacoma that's about $32K . . . holy shit I'm gonna barf . . .

anyone ever tell you not to throw stones if you live in a glass house? Lol rust on the underside. That's a good one.

One of the most annoying things about Toyota is all the fan boys suggesting other companies make such inferior products.

I have a 1992 rcsb z71 Silverado that I've had for 13 years and it's never had any issues.
