Im not sure how big of an antenna i want to run yet. Im thinking 3ft or 4 ft..

 

Just get the @Shmellmopwho antenna mount for the rear, will work with the cover on your truck and super easy install!

I bet you could get away with a 3ft since you don't have the camper shell. I have a 2ft that stays on the truck all the time and then I put the 4ft on when i do trails. If I move it, I will have no use for the 4ft and will just the 2ft up top. Actually may look at doing that this weekend as I am wanting to finish up the rear LEDs.

 

Oh i still need to install that rear breather mod!! Man i have some work to do on my truck!

I am trying to get my buddy in Flint to make me a CB antenna mount, quick fist mounts, and a high lift mount out of aluminum for me. I am trying to talk him into making them and letting me sell them on here! Maybe i can get them out there for less than $70 for the high lift and quick fist mounts!

 

I still need to get with your buddy on that other stuff I had talked about.

I would put the CB mount on steel though just FYI because of the whipping action.

You think you buddy could do a Cab Mount Chop for me?

Yeah that is a good point on the whipping around and all.... the others should be fine...

What else do i need for the breather mod?? some tubing, hose clamps, anything else??

I can talk to him about doing the CMC, if he is down for it i will probably have him do mine too. I was originally wanting to get my step dad to do it as he has 30+ years experience working with steel, but he has a house to build for him and my mom first so i dont want to take his time away from that.

 

I would, however i just have a hard time paying 40 doll hairs for something that would be dirt cheap to make myself. And its not even painted! I mean i could go buy a cheap $100 welder, learn to weld, and make all the stuff i want in the bed of my truck for cheaper than what i could by it for. And i would probably have it sooner also! Seems there are a lot of shops on back order for their products still due to the holiday sales from last year...

Correct, he does not have a pipe bender. His shop uses a break press to bend the aluminum for the seats he makes. That is why i think he could make the bed rail mounts so easily!

Just need someone with a pipe bender to bend the pipe up.

I was looking at a local company that does cages for UTVs and may see if the would be able to build something like I want for me as they have a pipe bender and such.

 

Maybe you can just get them to bend the angles you want...

If I still had my welder, I would just build this thing myself.

Going to try and wire in the Rigid Rear lights and the aux stuff this weekend

 

I need to get some kind of electrical block going on in my rig. I plan to cut holes and mount pods in my front and rear bumpers, along with an inverter, and a few other things. Would really like to get the Bussmann but i am trying to save some damn money!
