Figure I'll start a thread now...always like documenting my rigs!!

Just traded my 07.5 Duramax in a couple weeks ago for a 2017 dcsb trd off road manual trans. Weird trade you might ask. It will make sense later in the post.

A little background, I also have a 99 Tacoma that is setup for more hardcore wheeling. Full cage, harness belts, solid axle swapped with a 3 link up front. HD 44 and a Ford 9". I had the duramax to tow this down to private land places I wheel at.

Well the duramax was getting rough and my significant other likes her 2016 Chevy 1500 a lot and will probably always have a full size truck. It was time for me to let the duramax go...it was a great truck. Bought it with 93k and I put 140k on in 4.5 years no major problems. I haven't taken my 99 out in a couple seasons, needs a little work and we just acquired a fixer upper house so we've just been busy. Talked and if we take it out we will just tow it with her truck. So I went to the lot looking for another Tacoma :)

Really wanted a double cab to make my life easier with a 5 year old and 2 dogs. And I saw they come through stick shift!

Plans for the truck?? I would love to build this as a overland rig. Something we can take as a family out for the weekend up in the mountains here in VT, NH and ME for a weekend get away.

It will be a slow build cause I still have a decent payment on it. This rig won't get extreme being out primary vehicle for vacations, outings and errands but she will get spruced up. Really hoping to have this rig for 10+ years. This is one of my dream vehicles!!

Added a rear dog seat cover. Needed something for the dogs to ride!

I'll also be picking up my weather tech mats Friday after work. Will post pics!

Getting some back in taxes. Using some of it to swap out the grille and outfit some LED's up in the headlamps and fogs. I have a hard time seeing with halogens...
