    Hi all,

My name is Mick and I finally brought home a new Tacoma. Its an Access Cab 4x4 Sport, speedway blue. Hopefully I can become a contributing member here, and thanks to all who helped me through the buying stages.

A couple of questions: Are there any kind of tips or FAQs section for first time tacoma owners? Also, what do you all recommend as must buy items for a new owner? I'm thinking of getting some nice rubber floor mats, nothing major, just some inexpensive things that are purposeful. Thanks again.

Weathertech makes really good mats I hear. I am saving up for them at the moment but almost everyone has them here. Welcome!

5% tint all around, Alpine IVA-W505, 16x8 Mojave Teflon Rims w/Hercules Terra Trac 265/75, Grillcraft Grill, Slimcubby HIDs, Front 5100's @ 0 w/Eibach 1.6" springs, URD Short Shifter, Extang Trifecta Tonneau Cover, Uniden Pro510XL and K30Mag Mount, Relentless Fab Bumper soon to come
weathertech floor liners are top notch. husky liners are also a good choice, they don't fit quite as nice but they're cheaper

Thanks for all the replies. I like the weathertechs and okole seat covers. I might get a bed mat too, but I'm kinda worried that it might get stolen. Maybe some new horns since the stock ones seem kinda weak.

    Congrats and welcome.
I had the same q's and have got great advice from this site.
I bought Trd shifting knob $25
    ARE CX Cap $1500
Dee Zee rubber bet mat $60
Wet Okole Seat covers w/ TRD logo $290 (Front only)
Westin/ Wade ALL weather front floor mats (very similar to weather techs). $80
Husky Rear Floor All weather mats. ($50)
    Aries Full Grille Guard ($400)

    Looking to get
Smittybuilt running rail with 2 steps. ($275)
Thule Roof rack for cap. ($200)
    K N Cold air intake. ($280)
Better all season tires in the summer.

I would say the Wet Okole Seat cover and the front and rear floor mats are a MUST HAVE!! They will save your investment for years to come!
For me the cap was a must for the dogs and bed mat for their comfort.
Grille guard and runner rails (if I get them) are mainly for looks but do serve as protecting as well.

I got my bed mat and both floor mats on ebay.
    Ebay sellers names

    Husky rear floor mats: got-chrome

Bed Mat : carpartswholsale (best price i could find anywhere)

Front floormats : finaltouchautomotive (i got these when no other floor mat was available due to recall issues many took them off their shelves until recently when gas pedal has been offically blamed)
