When I had a new steering rack installed in my 2005 Tacoma I asked the mechanic to trouble shoot the 4x4 as it was not pulling in.

He came back to me and told me that he could find any electrical power at the transfer case actuating motor

additional symptoms are the 4x4 green light and the yellow low gear light is blinking on the dash ( this is intermittent with 10% of the time it not showing which i guess could indicate a bad electrical contact).

    Anyone had experience of this

Mechanic says it will take a long time to find $$$ so i would like to try myself

    Jon

Perhaps someone has fixed this type of problem and will reply ... but if not why not do some digging for the wiring schematics and poke around a bit. Post what you find and the prints here and perhaps some of us and give input to the issue ....
