On my 98 SR5 Tacoma, do I need the integration relay, as well as, the power window relay? I can't seem to find any threads online confirming on way or the other.

I have map lights and my current integration relay is 82641-04020. The Toyota parts site shows 82641-04030 as the one for power windows.

    Thanks!

I'm going down the same road as you, wiring it to the integration module doing it the OEM method would be way too hard and take way too long. I'm in the process of creating a custom wiring harness to control everything. It's just a few signal wires, ground, and 12v. It's a lot easier than doing it the factory way.

If you have the door connectors behind the kick panel, that's a whole different story. It would be a lot easier. In my case I didn't so I found a wrecked '04 Limited and took the full door harnesses, and cut the kick panel connector pigtail as much as I can so I can solder my own wires.

I have all the other required parts to do the conversion, including the little black power windows relay. I just need to know if I need to swap out the integration relay, or do I run a wire from the power windows relay to the integration relay on pin 9 (what other threads have mentioned to tap into).

You have the two door harness connectors behind the kick panel existing already?

No no, behind the kick panels under the the dash there should be two connectors (per side) one should be for audio, one should be for power components. This

Some trucks had them, some didn't. If your truck came with manual windows it may have the connector present. In my case it didn't, so I have to make my own wiring harness. You should have the lower one for the audio connection, but you may or may not have the upper window component one.

Correct but I believe he's wanting to do away with integration relay and just use a power window relay.

By the wiring diagram you could bypass integration relay fairly easy.

What gauge wire should I be using for power and signal?

    16-18 for signal
    10-12 for motor
Solder connections or crimp and seal connectors on motor wire.

Thanks! What kind of relay and fuses should I be using to power both window motors and power mirrors? I was just planning on using in-line fuses and a relay at the point where I connect the whole harness I'm creating to the battery.

Thanks mechanicjon! I didn't want to spend the money for the integration relay if I didn't have to. Now onto figuring out how to install 4Runner power/heated mirrors, so I can install them at the same time as the power windows and locks.

If you find any that are loose but the 3 screws in the bottom are tight. I've come up with a fix for them. Working on a thread to post about it.
