Greetings everyone, I am new to everything Toyota. I purchased my first Tacoma (2017) on Saturday and so far am loving it. I am coming from a 2005 Silverado that I have been driving for the past 11 years and put 200,000 miles on so getting this new truck was bittersweet.

My main reason for the truck is for my family to go camping. We are picking up a new R-Pod camper this spring and I think this truck will be perfect for pulling it.
We do a lot of camping, hiking, backpacking, snowshoeing, biking, etc. Basically we are outside as much as possible so the cargo of this truck is a good size.

I do want to "mod" it a bit to give it more of an overland look but don't plan on lifting it anytime soon or any other permanent changes. My main offroading is logging roads through the Chequamegon forest.

I was pretty delighted to find such a community following for these trucks. I've had a few Jeeps in the past that have great communities and that is how I feel here.

Look forward to learning a lot from here!

I need to take more pictures of the truck but here it is the day I picked it up.

Not enough to have a build thread.
Welcome man! Hope you and your family enjoy the Taco. And don't worry, you'll catch mod fever and come down with empty wallet syndrome

Finally, took you long enough to act on all of the subliminal hints we've been making all these years!

Welcome to the family and I hope you get as much enjoyment out of yours as our family has out of ours. Take a moment to look into the regional sections to find others near you for local get together like mod days where we help each other make upgrades to our trucks.

welcome, my truck has spent more time in chequamegon than pretty much anywhere else. The only real upgrade i ever did was ditching the stocks tires for some decent AT's and throwing on a rack for a canoe and i could pretty much live out of it up there for weeks.
