    Just use some adhesion promoter on the plastic flares and you should be able to use these steps

    I think the same rules would apply, except for having to add adhesion promoter to the plastic before primer. Also maybe don't use a self etching primer.

    Ok, so I gotta ask...almost three years later. How's it holding up??     I'd use that 2k clear that someone recommended in here. While the finish still looks good you can feel a difference in the finish from regular clear. But for the price they have definitely held up well. Here's a recent picture of my truck.
