One of my best friends was a -58Delta jockey, and instructor pilot. CWO Cameron McDaniel. Died last year from a brain tumor at 45 years of age. Finished out his flying years vetted to DEA, flying a Jet Ranger, looking for pot fields. One hell of a nice guy.

I served 8 years as a USAFR Flight Nurse. No action phots available, but here's a glamour shot from around 1991.

Unrelated to the previous picture. Little did I know that 2 years later I would be an advisor for the Joint Multi-National Training Group in Ukraine '16. Yes. Hands in pocket trying to not freeze to death, and IDGAF.




Just medically retired out in January. Wish I could have stayed in the full 20+ years but I was medevac'd to Walter Reed via Lundstuhl at the end of my Ukraine tour. Diagnosed with Kidney Disease at 27 years old. Best years and Job of my life, wish every day I could still put on that uniform.

Lived through another one, somewhere in the Indian Ocean. Thanks to a great ground and flight crew. Wish I could do it again one more time (for one thing because I was apparently 6'2 and had a full head of hair!)
