    You might know this:
    My buddy has a 2006 4Runner with the 4.0L, ~130K and a catalytic converter is on it's way out. Is this a common thing on 4 runners? Aside from the cat going bad it runs and drives great and no other issues.

    Kinda early for a catalytic converter to go so early. Usually a lean or rich condition will lead to a bad cat. My dad's Lexus 4.0L V8 has 150k miles and just pasted the smog test with flying colors on the original cats.
