    That really is sad...my thoughts and prayers go out to his family and loved ones. It is a risk of the sport though. It does seem that they should've anticipated that and made a taller wall there.

    My guess is they had the video before they knew he died since he did pass away at the hospital. Still, pretty disturbing to see.

    Terrible.

    They say this is like the fastest track ever. They break 90 mph.

    I heard some "experts" saying that only the best few lugers are even qualified to run that track. That's pretty crazy when you're claiming most of the olympic lugers have no business even being on that track!

    pads or no pads...at that speed the impact would have killed him either way.:pray:
