Is this normal? I was completely stopped, and it wasn't a loud clunk, just a click. Sorry if its a stupid question, I'm a newbie to the 4x4 community.

is it like a clicking from the inside?
Sounds like a relay activating right when I switch to and from it as the light comes on and what not.

Anyone have a bit of a clunk when getting out of 4x4 though?
Was just trying out the MTS since roads are covered in snow, after doing so did as I had to, stopped put it in N and put it back in 4H, then after going from 4H to 2H heard like a clunk or pop as it disengaged. Guessing normal?

Didn't get any warnings or anything on the dash
Did a search couldn't find anything on it besides this thread so bumping

Limited wheels, extra rope hooks in bed.
Mine clunks like hell coming out of 4wd high.

Same stopped, in neutral or on the fly, though not as noticeable.

Goes into 4wd fairly easily though.

Normal. Back in the day you'd have to move another "gear shifter" to get these things in 4WD. The click you hear is just the actuators / relays engaging so that we can be lazy and just turn a knob (or accidently try to set your AC to a lower setting and end up in 4WD)

Mine clicks going into 4H, haven't tried out 4LO yet. Pretty sure its the relay. The relays for my HIDs make the same click when I turn them on. I found that mine will clunk like hell if I'm giving it gas while I switch back to 2wd. Coasting or at a stop it does not clunk.

Whenever I switch back to 2wd I'm at a stop, and then I reverse for ten feet of so, then forward and on my way.

It's the old school method and was recommended in the manual way back then, so I figured it can't hurt to still shift that way today.
