It's a cold, dreary day here in northeast PA. Pretty much have the final issues wrapped up after my Mom's death. With having to transition her to Medicaid in the skilled nursing facility, I already had her finances and pre-paid burial plans done and paid-for. Glad to have that behind me.

Working on a new purchase. Anyone recognize what this is for?

    Morning all:
Ran out of luck but could have been worse, 5" of snow here.
Looks like Mike may get to use the snow blower again!

8" or 9" inches here this morning. It was a bitch to plow with the ATV - just high and dense enough to want to flow up over the blade instead of off to the side. Now it is windy as heel and drifting. Luckily, we made the decision yesterday to close the college so I didn't even consider going in to work and waited until after it stopped snowing to go out to plow.

I'm good shape. Second thing I'd grab would be my stoves. A week ago had 20 inches of accumulated snow on the ground, rain is taking care of that.
Last time I put gas in the truck was a month ago, been hanging close to home and cutting trips to town. Hard to wean myself after being able to shop before going home. Got four snow camping trips in so far, close to home again or right from my door.

Kayak is on a want list I have somewhere, next to the note that says I have negative cashflow since retiring. Have to suck it up.

    It's bad right now.
Been a long time since we have had a good one. Good thing it's lighter than they have been this year. Wind blowing hard so close to white out conditions..

Duane, it's good to hear from you!

We had about 5" too, heavy on the bottom and feather light on top. Lots of wind later so it is pretty interesting at those places where the drifts form. My driveway is treacherous at the moment but there is rain in the forecast so I think I'll just sit by the woodstove for a bit and catch up on social media.
