Nice! That's awesome! So much easier, you typically get them in 1-2 days, and if you have any issues you can go to them directly. I've done that with multiple parts (wheels, bed mat, wheel locks, exhaust tip, cargo net, and door still protectors). I saved $270 on those items before tax by pricematching and didn't have to pay shipping.

I posted this in a different thread but thought I'd jump in here too. I too have been browsing the blogs and numerous listings for all kinds of TRD wheels, including the new '17 Pro model. I want to ditch the factory wheels from my '16 Off Road (16 inch). What I find concerns me slightly. The 16 inch wheels from the new Pro are nice and I would like to hang on to my Wrangler Kevlars until they wear out, which could be a while based on tread wear so far. The issue is the offset on all these wheels versus the stock offset on mine (25mm). The Pro model has a 13mm offset and the 17 inchers from the 4Runner have an offset of only 4mm. Getting the 17s would also prompt new tires into the equation. From the tech specs on they illustrate different wheel and tire positions within the wheel well when compared to stock. That site is very useful in seeing how different wheel and tire combinations vary from stock. Should I be concerned about tires hanging past the fender well? I see some trucks on the road that look absolutely ridiculous that way and I won't do that to my Tacoma. The specs also reference "scrub radius" changes that could affect handling. Am I concerned for no reason? Any experience out there with any issues in putting on different offset wheels? How about pics of wheel mods to Gen 3 Tacomas? Also trying to stick with genuine Toyota wheels. Would consider other alternatives depending on quality. Thanks for any and all inputs.

Mine showed up today. Going to get them mounted to some 265/70/17 KO2's on Thursday.

Anyone know why it says the TRD wheels will only fit 4Runner's 2010-2014? I have an 06' SE, and I've seen multiple T4Rs with these wheels - just want to make sure they are in fact compatible. Thanks!

These are by far my favorite choice of all the wheels I have looked at including aftermarkets. But going from stock 16 inch on my Off Road to these 17s means dropping a tire dimension (aspect ratio) from 265/70 16 to 265/65 17. This is to keep the revolutions per mile fairly constant so the speedometer doesn't tell lies. If you are replacing 70s with 70s it should be ok but changing the aspect ratio with rim size staying the same will cause errors, up to 2-3 MPH at 60 MPH as shown here Probably not a worry as long as you are aware and account for it. The offset does concern me a bit. As stated in earlier post, a 4mm offset versus the 25mm on my stock rims will push the tire out by 21mm. This is .83 inches more than stock and by my measurement from outside of my stock tire to the outside edge of the fender well I have only about 1/2 inch to spare before the tire will jut out past the fender. The rear tires have a bit more clearance. Doesn't sound like much and I probably should not be concerned. The more aggressive stance will look good. I just feel it's really pushing the limit. Would love to see a '16 Off Road with this conversion from a front view perspective. Any out there?

Here are the wheels with 1.25" spacers so 2.08" more than stock. I think I'm going to take the spacers off this weekend and take some photos. I can post here for comparison.

Excellent representation of what the 17 inch 4Runner TRD Pro wheel with 4mm offset looks like compared to stock 16 inch with 25 mm offset. Stance looks great. Rear wheels (stock) had a bit extra clearance (about 1/2 inch) over front and they look perfect. The front look looks only about 1/2 inch difference or so from stock. My mud guards can catch any road debris from that subtle difference. I may even opt for 255 section width tires if I feel it necessary. Good job on the quick spacer removal. Looks great. Also notice the green grass and sunshine. :) That is notice when I get pics of my stock OR uploaded. Damndest time with media this morning.

Owner's manual says 83-ft-lbf is the correct torque for stock Tacoma wheels. At least for the '16 models. Specs might have changed for the TRD Pro wheels (both Taco and 4Runner) for '17 but doubt it.

Added some @rrentrop color-matched center cap decal inserts! I love them and am really happy with the blue. PITA to install but came out good I think

Looks good man and welcome to TW! I asked that question about four posts before you. Unfortunately I left the instructions for the wheels with the shop that mounted them so I am unable to look it up. Did you keep the instructions that came with your wheels? Anyway, general consensus is anywhere in the 85-95 ft/lb range. The stock steels are recommended to 83 ft/lb. I personally went with 85 ft/lb.

I agree with 83 ft/lbs. It's what I run on my TRD wheels.

Truck looks nice next to the Chase bank. You getting more money for more mods :)? What year is your Taco? And do you know the offset of your stock wheels you replaced? My wheels are coming soon and I have Falken Wildpeak AT3Ws to put on them. I ask the offset question because the offset on the new wheels is 4mm. Yours do not appear to be sticking out past the fender wells. Perhaps it's because of your flares. My stock offset is 25mm and the 21mm difference makes me fear a bit of tire sticking out. I've seen some pics (wjrichardson's) that look damn good. Pics are difficult to decipher though. Confirming the torque question wj answered--the owner's manual says 83 ft/lb. My local tire shop will be installing mine and I have never seen one use a torque wrench. The compressed air tool knows no torque. In my opinion can't be too tight unless you over tighten to point of snapping the stud. Problem occurs when you're in the woods and can't get them off to put on the spare for a flat. And where in NY is that plate from?

Just found this is from a 2016 4Runner owners manual. Steel wheels 83 ft/lb and Aluminum wheels 76 ft/lbs. Seeing as how the 4Runner TRD pro wheels are an alloy wheel (not pure Aluminum), going with something in the 85-95 ft/lb range will be just fine.

Thanks for the responses and compliments everyone. Very helpful. Now going to re torque them after the 25 miles driven. And adding the wheel locks on them too.

Taco is a 2012 and i came from stock wheels. They do stick out compared to stock. That's one thing I noticed and looks freaking great. Your going to love the wheel and tire combo. My wheels are wrapped in the exact setup your doing.
Im in the Westchester area on NY.

The aroma of new Falken A/T3Ws is permeating my laundry room. If only the darn 4Runner TRD Pro wheels would get here. Expecting them by middle of next week. :)
Anyone know how the read the born-on date on the tires? I can see they were made in Thailand under the Sumitomo Rubber Company name. Beats China I guess.
Will be selling original Off Road wheels (16 inch) and associated Goodyear Wrangler Kevlar tires with lots of mileage left. They have 16K of gentle miles on them. Never off road and rotated 3 times. I'm in south-central FL on the Atlantic coast 30 miles north of West Palm Beach in Jensen Beach/Stuart area.
