When I bought my truck I had no problems with the dealership or the salesman. Not sure if I should feel lucky or glad.

If I understand correctly, there is nothing wrong with the truck, it just doesn't have the Tow Package installed like promised.

As long as they don't give the next buyer some load of crap. Everything will be fine.

That is correct. I had a 08 access cab that i loved then marriage and kids happened so I went to a 4 door silverado (not impressed) and i've come full circle to my 4dr trd which is also my first brand new truck so cheers to you guys for helping me through this.

Exactly why it sucks to be in a must-buy-now situation and unable to shop other dealers or actually order the specific config you want. Puts the power into the dealer's hands instead of the buyer being free to walk out the door.

^^^ This. There are straight shooters out there, as well as a lot of slimeballs. The trouble is the slimeballs are pretty good at acting like straight shooters. Can't ever let your guard down.

Well, the deal is done. I swapped trucks this morning at the dealership, they threw in all weather floor mats and a tonneau cover for the hassle. I now own a super white taco trd offroad with the v6 tow package!!!!!!!! Pics to follow
