I've been a locksmith for almost 30 years. When I started, Graphite was the lubricant of choice. And it worked well.
WD-40 has been around since the 50's, and still widely used. But as I said, it really doesn't stick around too long.

Graphite is really not used all that much anymore in the field, but new factory lock cylinders still come with a light coating of it, because it doesn't bleed away or dry up while sitting on the shelf or in shipping.

In the interest of speed and making money, spray lubes are 1st choice. And they work better at cleaning crap than a dry lube will. WD-40 works great for quickly and efficiently cleaning the interior of locksets and linkages. But it doesn't stick around long and attracts the dirt back for some reason.

When Tri-Flow hit the market, with the ptfe stuff, locksmith's gave a collective cheer.
It has staying power and the money making potential from this stuff alone is unparalleled. I buy it by the case and use it daily.

Sorry for the dissertation, just wanted you to know where I was coming from with recommending it. With all that being said, if you really want it to last, use light grade white lithium grease. That's what it came with from the factory.

Well i almost got some graphite spray for its. Figured it would work best as that's what ive used on locks.

I use triflow next time. Like i said before, if i get a year out of the wd40 i'll be happy. it is easy enough to to do this.

Also i think the only time ive used triflow was when Mike sprayed my UCAs with it. And they squeaked like hell AFTER he sprayed them. Never have otherwise. Eventually went away thank god...Have never have squeaks from my LT kit other then that one time.

Or what was that stuff mike? @Digiratus

I use tri-flo liquid in the little black bottle. Makes my UCAS squeak some times but I also get more miles than most out of my uni balls so it clearly works

No way. You are remembering incorrectly. I beat you. Not by much but you were out front. Who's Brett?

It was a teflon spray lube from Dupont. PTFE. Same stuff as Tri-Flow except it in an aerosol dispenser.

Best option out there is PB blaster. Stuff is amazing on rusted nuts. Also im pretty sure you can hit your target about a quarter mile away with that spray tip.

I've had Motorola phones for the last 5+ years. With a droid turbo now and very happy. Analog antenna is good and it's not a gargantuan size... Jen has a nexus and hates the shit out of it. Super shatty software.

    Lol @ the fridge decision.

Yea hell with nexus garbage. Stay away.

Happy with my Moto and will continue to run them as they just work with no frills attached. Software updates always work as described and I've never wished the camera was better.

the ones in glass jars have been cooked in the jar for shelf life. Unfortunately, that thanges the flavors. Try to find one on the refrigerated isles. The fresh ones are always better IMO.

Be careful with that. When I was shopping for an unlocked phone, I found they aren't always truly unlocked. meaning, unlocked phones do not work on all networks. For instance, there was no HTC10 that was capable of working on both sprint's network and on verizon's network.

    I knew you were confused.

Mr Penguin wasn't with us in Ellensburg/WaBDR. No, the race I am referring to included you, me and timmy. Timmy shot out way ahead early and then just sped off because he knew he had no chance. Leaving you and I to battle.

You lost. It is unfortunate, there is no video of this one.

He knows. I hooked himm up.

It's fresh man. No Preservatives of any kind. 30 days and its done. Flavor changes after that.
