Hey guys, I'm in the middle of doing my front suspension lift. I've gotten the UCA bolt out and the UCA off the truck. Now I'm having trouble getting the bolt put in reversed. It will only go in so far then stops. No amount of moving/wiggling the UCA and twisting/pulling the bolt will get it to move. I can't really get a hammer in behind the head of the bolt to whack it. I've tried putting a 19mm box wrench on the end and hitting that with a hammer to no avail. Suggestions?

I'm using a socket extension on the opposite end of the bolt to hold the two washers and UCA in place on the upper end.

    The bolt won't slide in.

Just throwing this out there, but did you apply grease inside the bushing? Try going the normal direction with the bolt versus opposite?

    Progress report:
I tried putting only the bolt in with no washers and no uca. Figured I would see if it would even go in. Still hit a snag about 4 inches in and wouldn't go any further.

Long day of wrenching, but I'm happy to say I got my front lift on. Thanks for the moral support. Putting the bolts back in the original way worked. The passenger side is way harder to get that bolt out, because of the double walled sheet metal there for the power steering reservoir. I'm glad I did that side first, the driver's side was cake after taking the battery and tray out and unbolting a wire bracket.

Here are some really bad pictures from my victory over the passenger side.

Put it back in the stock way - that's what we did on mine - plenty of room to give it a tap tap taperoo!
