Welcome to TW. What other holes have you drilled in your truck besides the ones for the lights in your hood? :)

No other holes in the truck the bed rack is mounted on angle edges that slide over bed caps and lock into bed rails. I thought through mounting the light pods on the hood for awhile I didnt want to do a light bar with the windshield visor brackets those look like this to me and I didnt want to mount lights on the cargo basket and have to take the satellite antenna off to run wires through the cab. Its a steel bracket bolted in the hood with the pods mounted on the bracket. I tapped the holes and cleaned with rust preventative and touched up with paint to avoid rust, theirs rubber bumpers under the bracket for extra support, their not going anywhere.

The pods look like shit rn because two of them came with no brackets so I basically had to pull two brackets out of my ass to get it all mounted for now. All in process I am going to get everything cleaned up as I go. I am having trouble deciding if it looks good or if it looks like it belongs in a toy box so I appreciate the feedback. Its all flush and hood functions fine comes up and down no problem. I'm at work now il try and get some close up pics later.

Thanks its all starting to come together better its taken me way longer than it shoulda. My ditch lights need to come down and out some so Il do washers in b/w the hood hinge and where they mount and get those to sit better. The hood lights will look better once I get the right brackets rn two of them have framing brackets holding them up so they look staggered. The ditch lights are the new rigid curved dually side shooters floods they work great, super bright and cover a wide area.

I just wish the snorkel wasn't so big and bulky looking...but it does serve it's purpose though. I prefer the slime lines of the landcrusier ones

Yup I know the mod bug haha thanks. Here are some close ups of the hood, I knew there would be some ball busting for tapping holes in the hood of a 3rd gen. They're the only holes in the truck. The pods look janky no doubt their the knockoffs from Amazon and they sent me the wrong floods, they sent the ones with the fatter cover plates that are meant to mount flush in a bumper w/ no brackets. Time came into play and I said to hell with it so I cut the cover plates down to fit and used framing brackets to mount those two. I up in CO and live far out enough that running bk and forth for parts becomes a huge hassle so just decided to make do with what i had for now. Il go back through and replace the pods with better ones ultimately. The bracket is bolted through the thickest part of the hood and theirs always more I could do for more support but for now it seems to be holding up fine.

Its a home depot special no doubt but its all pretty solid so we'll see how it holds up. and the hood looks scratched up in the pics its not its just dirty.
