About a year ago, I wanted to build a bed rack that I could use over my Access tonneau cover. Previously, my tonneau cover had to be opened to transport my mountain bike. Normally this isn’t an issue, but it always left the rest of my gear in the bed exposed to the elements and thieves. My inspiration came from other forum members that have mounted Yakima T-Tacks on their bed rails. I really considered getting a All-Pro or CBI Bed Rack and just modifying it, but for the price and effort it didn’t seem worth it. I also strongly considered using the Yakima T-Track system with Crossbars set up, but I felt like it wasn’t nearly as stout as this setup. So with pretty minimal effort, I ended up with this setup.

Something to consider: I am a recreational MTB’er and car camper. I did not need the toughest rack on the planet.

I posted more details on imgur.
