I did a quick search and found lots of good info here:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/android-head-unit-great-alternative.388103/

But I didn't see anyone discussing the '16+ Tacos and issues related to the cluster info screen.

Has anyone swapped one into a 3rd gen yet? I'm looking for a "no cut" option that is 100% reversible and really just looking for details on what works, what doesn't and so on. I'm looking at this unit based on successes in that thread above:
    https://www.carjoying.com/head-unit...o-resolution-1024-600-fm-am-rds-gps-navi.html

    Primary questions of concern are:
    - in dash cluster info screen issues - what happens when it can't get data?
    - what dash plate or kit to get or can it use the factory face plate?
    - plug -n- play harness? There are kits for Corolla, Tundra, etc... one of them should work but there no Tacoma one that I can find.
    - I would like to retain the stock XM antenna, cabin mic, backup camera and steering wheel controls if at all possible. Aux USB ports too. Possible?
