I own a 2004 Toyota Tacoma 4 wheel drive TRD which I purchased as a pre-certified Truck on March 20, 2005. Last December 2015, I found out from my Auto Body Shop that the entire frame on my Truck had rusted out and was not drivable. It took 3 months to repair it and cost me $15,000+/- to repair it. I just learned from a friend of mine who reads the Automotive News, that there was a class action suit against Toyota for frames rusting on Toyota Tacomas and Tundras. I have written to the Magazine in hopes of finding out how I can get involved in this class action suit and get some recourse for the expense I paid to repair my Trust. The article states that Toyota has been ordered by the Government thru the class action suit to pay out 3.5 BILLION dollars to the owners of those trucks. Is anyone involved in this class action suit or familiar with this problem?????? Thank you!!
