I had a set of 3rd gen trd offroad wheels put on my 2nd gen at discount tires. They used the stick on tire weights on the back side of the wheels to balance them. I drove it home and washed the wheels to clean them up, next morning i found a strip of the weights laying in the drive way. Had to run an errand and herd another sling off. Took it back today and they rebalanced and put the same sticky back weights on again, i hope there not going to fall off ever time i wash them.

Have run stick ons on several vehicles over decades. Not my fav, but they are a boon for nice looking wheels that you don't want to mar with clip ons.

Only ones I've ever lost were because of scraping on something. Like any other adhesive item, the surface they are applied to should have a bit of cleaning prep first.

I've used them before and been plenty fine. Just be cautious from now on with a pressure washer. Other than that they should be fine.

A trick I use is to use a small hammer or socket to tap them down after I get home or before I leave the tire store - it stops them from flying off- I have had 43 sets of wheels (used to be in the business) and learned the hard way after loosing many of stick on weights for my own personal wheels. Also cleaning the are the weighs are going to be applied to with brake cleaner and rag also helps.

Sometimes they are in a rush and don't do a proper job of cleaning the wheel before putting it on. Otherwise it should stick pretty well. I would know because I was once one of those tire technicians at discount tire. On behalf of lazy tire techs, I'm sorry.

HAD some of those weights. And they fell off....several times....regardless of what precautions we took. I finally gave up and went back to clinch weights. May not look quite as good, but the tires stay balanced.
