Well, past a certain point I guess you just open it up and stick your head up through?

Rain would suck though. Been there done that on motorcycles. :D

none what so ever. the only requirement that i had when first purchasing was it had to be a DCLB. originally wanted the sport model, but i couldn't find anything. the only thing available was an off-road. the more i looked into it, the off-road was better suited to what i needed - hunting - so it was an easy choice.

OR and Sport are priced the same for the same configurations, so there's not even any savings in one vs the other.

Regret Canada not selling a long bed OR... LB only comes in Sport.

The MTS and toys would be really nice; but the fact is I will use that extra foot of bed space a lot more than a rear locker... I just 'like' the idea of having a locker just in case. I don't offroad, and 4-HI is more than enough for the 'wheeling' that I do.

I'm with him, I have a '13 DCSB Sport and I recently painted my flares black to match my @Pelfreybilt front end and runners. Scoop is hit an miss, it looks cool but has no purpose unless your installing forced induction. As for suspension, I'm prepping to upgrade to 5100's and @HeadStrong Off-Road coils so unless you wanna stay stock, that's a toss up. Only thing my Sport has on the OR is the extra gear, I got my truck for the simple reason no other manufacturer offers that size truck in a manual and the OR only came in 5spd but the sport had the 6.

I was going to go for the sport but wanted a more rugged look. I'm very happy I went with an OR. I think if I would have purchased a Sport I would have been disappointed personally.

Sorry I should have clarified that a bit... For some reason all of the OR's I've seen up here in Canada are short boxes... the Sports are Long Box...
Basically it came down to 5' box with Crawl/Hillstart/Skid plates vs 6' box with Moon roof and hood scoop

I wanted a manual OR access cab but that does not exist so my choice was a manual Sport access cab or a manual OR Dbl Cab short bed, I chose the ORDC even though I don't like the short bed.

My friends regretted my Access cab choice when four of us took my truck on a 3.5 hour trip lol.

Only reason I wanted an off road was for the factory locker, I got an sr5 fairly loaded for a good bit cheaper. I planned on adding front locker later if I got an off road. After its paid off I'll do both front and rear arb locker setup, along with a lot of other mods. I doubt I'll do much of trail riding before then anyways.

I bought a 2016 Limited. I didn't have much choice in options. lol It's not so much what options I got, but how I would feel if I didn't have them. 4 doors, 4wd, blue paint, etc. were all "must haves". I would regret a purchase if I didn't have those.

With that said, I'm happy to have the moonroof, heated seats, etc. The JBL audio is better than people give it credit for, but I wouldn't pay extra just for that. I'd rather build my own, but now that it's installed, i don't feel the need to upgrade.

My question though, who the hell would want this in a manual? Other than maybe the OD complaints for towing and drivers who do frequent, aggressive off-roading, 99% of driving time I'd just prefer to cruise with the automatic. Maybe I'm just getting old. lol

Don't want to make disparaging comments about your advanced age, but at least 5% of us want them in manual. Wouldn't want the gimpomatic for free.

My only regret is that I should have just gotten a full size. Sadly, I feel my family has outgrown the taco...

No. But I'm modding. Bigger tires, suspension, grill, bumper trim. Paying cash for these so I'm not paying interest over time as if I bought a higher end model with some of these options I'm adding on.

With that, I kind of wish I had the non painted fender flares. I like that look on the ORs.

bunch of stuff - Bro Pro style

Woah... ouch butt hurt ongoing... I would be absolutely freaking PISSED and DEMAND a 4x4.

"I'm sorry I'm going to fuck you over without any lube today.... can I be of any more ASSistance?"

That is just wrong bro.. on a lot of different levels.

Hey OP... I have an MGM sport with MT... the only reason I'd go to the OR is if they were both ATs. The OR with AT is going to be a step up. With the MT stick with the sport ... the only diff is the rear locker.. (<-- see what I did there, pun).

Okay, that's the difference between DCSB and DCLB. As I understand it, Canada has no DCLB Off Roads although they're available here in the States.

It really comes down to which one is the stronger fit to your needs.
