with a large group we would need a camp spot before the trail. run it down and out in a day. there isn't going to be much room at the bottom this yr until late summer.
there is a few areas before the trail head around but there camp grounds. there is also French meadows. would need to camp the night before to make it in and back. as it will take about 10 hrs. for some.

Never there been before. I've heard it's mostly dirt roads with some rock gardens thrown around. Sounds like fun if that's the case.

its rated hard. but only the north end. the rest is easy. looks fun. the ratings also say slick rock is moderate. and we all know it can be challenging.
I also want to check out Barret lake but heard its a hard trial. I'm not sure they got it opened last yr as planned.

Barret Lake definitely looks like a fun/challenging trail. I'd be interested to give it a try.

anyone interested with those above PM me. lets try to pinpoint some dates this summer. I have to plan ahead as my weekends can get busy. this summer is all about camping as we vacationed early. I'm not against mid week trips either on some of these harder trails to get away from crowds.I just need to plan it out so i save some vacation time.

get them gears and a locker and you wont need to. its all about finesse. its like a women. sure you can pound it. but she will love you if you treat her right.
Or you could just beat the shit out of her and buy a new one.

I know a guy on Pirate4x4 went through with an IFS Tacoma a few years back. It's definitely doable, but we'll all end up matching @Fernando if we're not careful.
