Does anybody have the drop bracket measurement from the center of old control arm bolt to center of new bolt.

I'm curious how much the kit actually drops the mounting point.

Getting my son a RCD lift for Christmas. I'm going to install it with some 884s that I have laying around and see how it looks. If it pushes the CV angles too much, I'll have to regroup, but I'm going to try it.
    He's excited.

Max backspace for this lift is 4.5"? So 4.75" wont fit?

    Looking to get 20x12 ET-44

Bought the same COs from http://rcdlift.com/shop/shocks/fox/foxtoyotatacoma4-5-lift/ for my FJ which have 6" Rough Country kit (or part of it).

Many stores advertice these coilovers, e.g. Downsouth Motorsports, but they are not in stock and they can't get them any more, the part number 883-02-044 is discontinued, only RCD had these in stock.

And yes, the set comes without any spanner. ;) So I don't have any reason to complain and diss the seller. I bought a spanner (PRM-07099) from SDHQ, fits perfectly: http://store.sdhqoffroad.com/foxdowelpinspannerwrenches.aspx

Also ordered ICON neoprene covers, the long model fits nicely:

I just installed an RCD lift on my son's 2014 along with OME 884 coils and Icon progressive AAL with the block that came with the kit. I haven't read about anybody else using 884s, so I wanted to post the results. We put on 315/75-16s. The combo yielded about 7.25" of lift and the CV angles look good to go.

2015 Tacoma trd sport sb manual and love how this lift looks on the pics posted. I am a newbie and this is one of my first posts, please be kind! Not a hard core off-roader but def want the look this lift provides. I have read thru every post in this thread gathering every bit of information I can and have a couple of unanswered questions.

    1) can I use my stock 17" sport wheels with 33" tires with this lift installed? And have 0 rub issues and mud flaps still installed?

    2) Will gears need to be changed or will it still be manageable with stock gearing and occasionally pulling a trailer? 6 speed manual!

    3) I am limited by height restrictions in my current parking spot and need to know the exact height of this lift from ground to heighest point which I believe is the factory cab mounted roof racks? If someone could provide me with this info who has this lift in its stock form on 33" tires and similar body style I would be willing to name my first born after them!?

Love this sight and all the info people provide, truly unreal! Looking forward to joining the club! Thanks in advance for any or all info!

    1) You may have to use spacers with those wheels to clear the steering knuckle.

    2) If you keep wheels and tires as light as possible, you don't necessarily have to do gearing. 33s don't rob that much power.

    3) I posted height measurements in this thread when I had this lift with 33s. I don't remember off-hand what they were, but it's in this thread if you search.

Thank you so much for the info Wobble, love ur truck. I could only find "no remorse" stating that a height with 295/70/17's would produce a possible height of 80.5" to the top of the factory roof racks. His truck was a 2010. I am really hoping to find out an exact height with a similar year and make to mine as it will be a tight fit getting into my garage. Would love to have some heights from those running this lift in its stock form and different tire sizes. I.e. 33,32,31 Once again I did go back and read all the posts to try to get the answer myself before asking. The absolute max height I have to play with is 80". Thanks again

    Hello everyone,

Was just wondering if there was any more feedback from the guys who added aftermarket springs with the 5100s that came with rcd kit? I am buying a truck that the kit has ready been installed. It's an 09 with 100 k, not exactly sure when it was installed. Should I think about replacing the shock and springs or just springs? I don't know how to tell if the shocks need replacing or not. I do want more lift though..not keen on spacers

Did you notice a lot more stiffness? I assume you have the Eibach 620 springs? Can they still be ordered?

They are a little stiff, but I have a winch, so I needed them. Ride is great though.

Yes, 620 springs. I bought wheelers springs because I wanted black.

I put OME 884s on my son's truck along with the RCD shocks. I think it rides pretty damn well...and I've been in a lot of lifted Tacomas.

Does OME make a shock for the RCD lift? I have heard keep 620s with Bilsteins and OME with OME. Problem I am having is getting 620s in Canada.
