Just sayin' welcome to my world for the last like 3 years. I'm keeping my hopes up that they actually will release it this year, since the harness is actually done finally.

Aint gonna lie man, i dont think i would get one at all. The looks just havent grown on me. I am hoping the next gen tundra looks a little sweeter than the current gen, cause it doesnt do much for me either.
Also, i have really been eyeballing the sti lineup :anonymous:

Me either. Planning to keep my 2nd as long as possible. Maybe the 4th gen will be worth a look if mine holds up that long.

Two of my neighbors have new Tundra 4x4 crew cabs, lifted up on dubs. Those things are just WAY more truck than I need. Way too big. I have trouble finding comfortable parking spaces for my Taco as it is.

I guess I just got lucky. I was so worried about my motor I installed AFR and boost gauges. Most of the time I'm at 14.7, but when I hit the little peddle the AFR drops. Usually between 11.5 and 12.5. I did get 8lbs of boost once.

2.85 pulley, URD TCAI, and URD cat back.

Okay, so I've gathered a few things from pages, and pages, and pages of text, but still have some Qs..
Just wanted to make sure I'm on the right track here.

    My truck currently has:
    09' 6 speed
    URD CAI + MAF calibrator
Long tubes+full header-back custom exhaust that I built.
Already installed a Walbro 255 LPH fuel pump a couple years ago
    Rear 02 sensor simulators

Seems my truck is mostly there for a solid SC build.

That tune that it comes with, is that the bullydog that everyone is tossing in the trash? Do they come with it automatically when you order from sparks/URD?
General consensus seems to be NO on the BD, and YES on the TRD flash. By ordering it without it, that'll save me a few bucks?

Seems like this is a must:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/group-buy-feeler-mongoose-pro-toyota-mfc.464141/
By purchasing this, I can do the flash myself? With a laptop, or such of course, after paying that subscription.
Also, any input on a wideband kit? Or just snag one from URD? Gotta pick up a boost gauge as well, and I suppose a fuel pressure gauge.. Not sure how I can mount up more than two off the top of my head, since the URD pod kit only mounts two.

It seems that the the URD AFR is a wise choice to pickup- Even with the TRD flash?

I thought I saw a post hidden in there where someone with a very similar build to mine is rolling with the TRD flash, with no issues, just wanted to check.
I'll be picking up either the 2.85 or 2.7 pulley as well.. Ideally I'd like a 2.7 pully, if it's supported. MORE POWAH!

I think that's about it for now.. Thanks for any insight.

Looks like a solid set up so far.
When you order from URD or whoever else, you can order without the bullydog tuner. It's a few hundred bucks. Save yourself the headache and take it to the dealer for the reflash.

Based on my own personal experience, I would buy without the Crappy Dog and just go to the dealer and pay ~$100 for the TRD flash. That route saves you a few hundred and a series of headaches. Several have reported no issues with the Crappy Dog, but Based on what myself and a few others went through I cannot recommend attaching that device to your OBDII port under any circumstance.

If you're open to the price of the Mongoose, that is a good way to get dealer level diagnostics for your Toyotas and also be able to do the TRD flash yourself.

I'm getting my S/C installed today along with the 2.85 pulley, headers, fuel pump and gauges! I'm limping my truck to Toyota for the TRD flash when everything is done even though mine came with the BD!! Not taking that chance, no way!

Boost, armor, lights, big tires, no savings.
The 2.7 would require additional fueling. Either bigger injectors all around or a 7 th injector kit. Both of which require aftermarket tuning hardware like a UCON.
