Horizontal? My leafs damn near fold in half most of the time and I got no suspension problems. I think toyota should start paying me to keep their logo on my grill with how much Ive been locally advertising their durability hauling under load day in and day out.
I go to work loaded down and everybody else has these fullsized 1/2-1ton trucks all lined up hauling nothing heavier than a fishing pole, and there I am with the smallest truck there and a scrap car sitting in the back. That first pic was a 1600lbs scrap load. Plus 600lbs. Trailer, plus 100lbs. Stall mat, plus my fat ass. Total of about 2500lbs with a 4 banger.

 

45 kw EDM machine going to Fed X to be crated shipped to Singapore to remove a 4 5/8" pin from the trunion on a 747. Normally the dodge diesel does the heavy lifting, but it was at a job in Nevada at the time. Normally don't overload the Tacoma. 2003, great little truck.
