Over the past two weeks I've been noticing that my trucks seems to be holding onto gears and then abruptly upshifting into the next gear. Rpms are staying steady while it does this, truck just feels like something is holding it back under moderate acceleration. If I punch the gas it will downshift and take off pretty much like normal but 1/2 to 3/4 throttle feels like I have an anchor behind me. Any ideas? Trucks at 66k now and 2012. It also seems like its worse if I roll off a start and then give moderate gas like if I'm merging vs just leaving a traffic light full throttle.

Just did that when I did my 60k maintenance, I can check it today but don't think it could get that dirty in 6k miles.

Have you parked near a 3rd gen recently? Sounds like it might have gotten the 3rd gen fever.

Did something change 2 weeks ago? Do they have "winter" gas down there?

I thought about that being the issue and have the stuff to do it just haven't got around to it yet. But hard for me to think that 66k fluid would be so bad that its causing shifting issues, I know so many people that have gone 100k+ before changing or never changing at all with no issues.

If my fluid at 66k is causing me issues makes me worry that something could be damaged.

Ha no, haven't been near any 3rd gens lately. They do switch up to winter blend and I use same gas station every week, maybe I should try next tank somewhere else see if anything improves.

Plug in a reader and observe live data. Without data we are just throwing darts. TPS? Has anyone else been driving it lately. If so, try disconnecting negative battery for half an hour.

Mine had had that tsb done about a year ago. My wife has been driving it mostly as of late. Maybe she's not getting in the throttle much and it's learned her habits?

These things are always learning. Unfortunately disconnecting the battery won't help. Give it time to learn your driving style again.

Well I'm home now, checked the air filter even though only 6k miles on it to make sure something crazy like a mouse nest or something didn't happen. All is good there, I disconnected the negative battery terminal, gonna wait 30min and take it for a spin.

Well took it out for a spin after the battery disconnect and the truck seems back to its normal self. We have been having pretty drastic weather swings here lately, going from a day of 82 back down to 40's and 30's and then back to 70's. Maybe the truck isn't adjusting well to these weather swings or something.
