    For a great bag at entry level prices look into the "ecws sleep system" which is a GI surplus multi-bag set that offers a great deal of features. You can mix and match the layers to get the temperature rating you desire and they come with a gore-Tex cover. Expect them to run in the $60-70 range with new, unissued examples showing up for up to $100.

    If you are starting to put your camping gear together I offer this suggestion. Invest in your sleep system - bag, mat, cot, whatever - and go cheap on the tent. Later, as you figure out what features you want in a tent you can upgrade to one that better suits your needs but a crap sleep system will discourage you from going back out there in the future.

    Not sure if they're "related" or not, but there's a "Quest Outdoors" in Louisville that handles outdoor and camping gear. All high end stuff. (ie $$$$$) That's where I picked up my Yeti cooler when I won it! VERY cool stuff!
