I've got a 2015 TRD Offroad, 3" lift, 285/65r18 wheels, carrier bearing drop.

Sometimes when driving on the pavement, I can come into a corner and the antiskid activates and it feels like I lose all braking. You can hear the system cycling (the loud ratcheting noise) and it almost seems like the truck stops turning. It scares the hell out of me.

Is the ABS disconnect mod the correct one to do, or dio I have other issues going on??

Dealership can recalibrate the traction control system. A lift/level kit may change the pitch of the truck making the systems sensors read closer to their trigger points.

I hope I don't have to do this...not sure I would lift the truck if it screws up the electronics.

It's not messing up the electronics. Just putting the truck angle closer to the trigger points, the sensors just need to be 'zeroed' at your new ride height/angle.

That link will do more than help. Thank you for that! So...this is like readjusting your headlights. Just another thing that has to be done after a lift. Mine will be 3in. in the front, so I'll add it to the list. That jumper wire job is real similar to what we used to do on my Blazer to check codes.
And if I can do it at home, the wife won't bitch about spending MORE money...:)
