My 07 Taco kinda' saved my butt a few months ago when I go hit from behind by a minivan traveling at 30 MPH. Destroyed the rear bumper, bed, and tailgate. The frame has a "crush zone" as I learned that extends several inches behind the rear spring hanger. The insurance company wanted to total the truck until I found a body shop with a 5 point frame machine. That machine and a 78 year old frame specialist with a heavy hammer brought back the frame ends to near perfect condition without heat application! Some primer and heavy duty Rust Oleum semi flat black and I am on the road again with zero pull, perfect tracking, and Michelin LTX tires that wear perfectly! Damn lucky I am.
The minivan driver is still picking out the pieces of Chrysler intake manifold plastic from his face. Thank you, Toyota!

I got rear ended last night.... By a Prius. There are two small buckles in the frame which i imagine is the crush zone. but going sunday to have it checked out.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
How long have the repairs been in place?

Sorry, just getting back on the forums in a long time. My wreck was in May 2015. Here it is February of 2017 and the frame is perfect. Looked at it during a tire rotation while on the lift and all is well.
