Well, I didn't find anything specific using the search function. So..
The short version is, based on reading similar threads, I think I might have fried my rheostat while installing an aftermarket stereo. Seems like there have been others that had same problem with the metra kit, and hooking up the orange wires.
All my fuses are good, lights to console shifter area and AC panel work and dim. Installed old radio back in, and dash lights still inop. I guess it's possible that I burned out all the dashlights, but others have reported burning out their rheostats. Apparently there is a way to jumper out the rheostat (provide full bright). Can anyone tell me exactly how to do this?
    Thanks in advance
