Need to replace. Don't want flow master, gibson, magnaflow not looking for noise or performance. Was researching bosal. Looking for something cheaper priced. Do the bosal hold up?

You could also use a sleeve to clamp it on...

I haven't ordered one. For OEM I would just talk to a muffler shop and ask how much an OEM equivalent generic muffler would be with installation.

    Pretty much stock right now
I did a cat back with stainless Walker parts I got at advance auto. Exhaust pipe bolted up to the flange after the 2nd cat, muffler clamped to that piece. No welding, and works fine. Wasn't too expensive.

For that price i wouldnt expect it to last super long. You can always get high heat paint and paint it to help with rust. For 150$ tho you cant complain if it lasts 3 years

I've tried both the Bosal and Walker Quiet Flow (both from the cats back). The Bosal wasn't bad, but I found the drone around 2K RPM to be terrible for highway driving. So I took it out and put in the Walker setup. Drone is gone and I am a happy camper.
For reference, I have a 2001 regular cab prerunner, 2.7, auto.
Both setups were a breeze to install and bolted right up.

In both cases, they were welded into the exhaust already. I just got new bolts for the cat-to-pipe connection, as well as a gasket for that connection and for the o2 sensor.

Took mine to remove the flowmaster at the local shop. Installed an OEM muffler for a total 65 dollars installed. Remember it's a truck just install what ever makes it quiet.
