FM Radio static in reverse

Repost? Tried searching and couldn't find anything.

Noticed this over the weekend. Doesn't do it all the time.

Radio was tuned to FM 106.7

 

Huh... that's different.. I know a fair amount about electronics and that would be a troublesome sign for me! Ground point issue somewhere leading to more electrical gremlins down the road...

I'd be calling the service mgr ... and show the vid to them so they won't be able to say "unable to duplicate"....

I'd do that ASAP... avoid needing a tow at some point later....

 

Any static with other FM stations?

 

It's understood that some features may be disabled while in motion. This would explain the connection between the two things. However, how it's effecting in that manner is very peculiar.

Maybe something to do with the backup camera?

 

Its done it on 95.5 and 106.7

Hasn't done it since I videotaped this one.

Next time it does it, Ill try switching over to XM/AM and see if it does it there.

 

Did you put LED reverse lights in?

 

The next time you record it, how about a much wider shot to include the head unit.

 

Yes. It came across my mind that it may be causing it but it has only happened a few times.

 

How is seeing my whole dash going to help? You hear the radio, you see it being put into reverse and I posted what station I was listening to.

 

It might very well be the cause, a few guy put LED headlights in and they caused issues.

So are we just talking about aftermarket LED bulbs for the reverse part of the tail light assembly?

If this turns out to be the cause.. Holy crap these trucks are sensitive.
