Plexiglass cover for aFe CAI

Has anyone switched out the aFe lid for a plexiglass one? If so, where did you get it made? I don't want some random piece of glass if possible. Would like something that's a perfect fit.

What are your thoughts on the soft padding on the underside of the afe stock lid?

Wtf is it?
Resonating damper? I know that intake resonates a ton in the cabin unless force fed.

Sealing property?

Heat insulation from the factory lid and radiant heat?

 

It is a combination of sealing and maybe noise dampening.

I have an aluminum cover on my truck with nothing else and it works fine.

For some people, I have added a perimeter gasket around the lid edge.

I was wondering the same thing. As long as it has nothing to do with the cold air i was just gonna put a piece of rubber around the edge.
