That's brutal. I went down 1-2 mpg with those same tires. Putting The 285/70/17's on tomorrow hoping that loss will be similarly small.

Figured I'd do another mileage update on the tires:

Just rolled over 11k on them and they have 9/32nds left, however that measurement is past the wear bar. So technically I only have 7/32nds left until I get down to 2/32nds in which tires will not pass inspection in PA. So it looks like every 1,000 miles I drive I burn a 1/32nd off the tires. Hopefully @Discount Tire Direct will credit me some money back for my investment these tires cause there is no way in hell their getting to 55k like Falken warranty's them....... At this rate another 7,000 miles and they will be not passable by inspection standards. Which come then i will have maybe 18,000 on them. BTW the size im running is a P265 75 16, tires came new with 14-15/32nds. They are all evenly worn too!

I just checked mine last night. I'm in that 6,500 territory and they are measuring out to just under 10/32 or right at it, so about 8/32 of usable life left. Math wise I'll make it to around 19,500 miles.

When I talked to Discount Tire Direct and Falken directly they put me down on their lists for accelerated wear. They both said they'll warranty them when it gets down to the 2/32 territory. Basically they'll take the cost of the tire and multiple it by the percent you were short on tire life. Example $150 on a tire and you only made it to 27,500 miles, you'll get $75 back.

I got mine from Advance auto. I want to say it was only a couple bucks. Well worth it in my opinion, makes used tire shopping/selling very easy

Anyone run these in 235/85/16? If they run wide, might be closer to 255...

so at discount tire direct, 265 70 17 wildpeak at/3w, is 531.32... then you take $75 visa rebate plus $60 more if you use a discount tire credit card. so it comes down to $396.32... anybody pulled the trigger on this? i really want to try the wildpeak but some people are reporting increased treadwear..

DTD will also price match. Find a cheaper price online, have them match, also get the Visa gift card. Get out for even cheaper. Also your local Discount Tire will often match the online price and have the same rebates.

I'm only 1 tank in so far but I got 19.8 mpg which is on par with what I was getting with my coopers. The specs I found on each tire shows that the Falken's are 5 lbs heavier or so for the same size....
