Yes thats it, but I would be interested in the idea of like 6 inches of lift. I think a unimog is just out of my price range, I'll check my piggie bank maybe it's got a few thousand of interest now.
Am I wrong about lifting the diffs when lifting the truck through conventional means?

No, you're on the right track. Clearance on the differentials is governed by wheel/tire sizes. With that said, in many instances the driver's choice of line can work around that limitation by climbing a tire up and over something such that the differential clears whatever it's going over. That's not so easy to do with the other body parts not directly aligned with the axles, so you lift the frame up away from the axles to give overall increased clearance.

As I said, I have no idea if you can convert to a portal axle. I'd imagine it'd involve quite a bit of engineering.

Had the wife drive so I could see the LED tails/blinkers in action. Followed in her car. We legitimately had to drive two cars bc she had to leave for work afterwards so it wasn't a complete waste of effort and gas. Call me weird :alien:.....sorry the pic is a bit blurry, it was dusk

    Thoughts please
I am contemplating selling my access cab prerunner and getting a 4x4, either ACLB or DCLB, my question is do you really notice much difference with the extra foot or so of a DCLB when wheeling? The 4x4 is the only reason I would be selling mine so it has to be worth it if I go to DCLB. maybe you know someone selling a 4x4 access cab? I could be interested in a trade.
To be clear not any crazy wheeling, figure - sliders, 3 inch lift, winch on a hitch plate, and front bumper(with a hitch).
Someone is gonna be saying get a DCSB, I say fuck that I use my long bed all the damn time and am not giving that up.
I did find this and thought someone might want it, offer 2 or 3K lower.
    07 DBSB 4x4 $15000
    That is all.

If you don't do any hardcore wheeling, I say go for it. In some spots it can be tricky with the longer wheel base. But if this isn't a wheeling rig than just get the LB

I'm relatively new to the Savannah area and need some help. Looking to take the family camping and also wheel the truck some. Hoping to stay close to the area. Suggestions please.

Definitely a place we are considering. Gultches glooks like an awesome place and not too far away. How family friendly is the camping out there?

So because of an incident that happend (I wasnt driving) caused me to need two new tires so I got the BF goodrichs. but the Sears at northpoint was the closest and only open on sunday. well they have messed up twice now and I just realized that I ordered load class C and they put on Load class E. is it worth it to make a deal out of it and get the load C tires? also never go there for tire. I personally would have gone to butler or discount tire but the incident happened near northpoint mall.

What size are your tires? Some of the new KO2s only come in Load Range E.

265/70/17 I know they come in both range C and E. they just messed up but I went ahead and said screw it and I'm just keeping the load range E. I've already driven about 75 miles on them and I don't think I'll be able to really tell the difference
