I've given up, try not to listen too much. I've been trying not to hear a bad passenger wheel bearing for a couple weeks now. Finally going to find out today :fingerscrossed:

I'd say there's a reason you're so specific in where the noise is coming from. Hopefully not though.

I completely gave up on the noise listening. Race clutch (clutch chatter), thicker wall tubing driveshaft, rear locker, poly bushings in everything, heavy ass beadlocks, no carpet/sound deadening material ..... I enjoy the noises. Haha

Today was too pretty to not jump in the truck and explore a little.

Got some pre- Land Between the Lakes prep done this evening.

    Bought this

Finally got around to fixing the driver side shell latch. It was just gummed up with debris. Bought this from HF for $2.50 yesterday not knowing it would be used today. Sprayed the latch out. Lubed it up. Good as new.

Stuck my brand new to me hitch shackle in. Thanks Dave. Took off the rear flaps so they don't get destroyed this weekend.

Put a magnet on my cb so my RAM mount will hold it.

Threw the antenna up. Coax runs down the window trim and enters the cab at the bottom. Appears to be water tight. We will see.

    Opinions please...

I've been looking at bumpers pretty hard lately, but as Harry said it best in Dumb and Dumber, I've crossed my mind. It will be a tube bumper, because I Like tube bumpers. Ha ha.

    All-pro Baja

pic from the google. not sure if they're on here or not. This is hands down my favorite of the three. However, it only allows the use of their IFS skid. I don't like how the skid doesn't have any protection for the LCA alignment cams. Also, why is it so freaking cheap? 1/2 price of every other option out there. Am I missing something here?

I like the look, and that any skid can be used. I don't necessarily like the required weld in cross member, or the possible frame extensions.

    Trail gear

I would add the optional light bar hoop to the top.

    http://www.lowrangeoffroad.com/weld-on-light-bar-kit.html

Like the look. Bolt on. Zero lead time. Save a few dollhairs. Compatible with any skid.

Poll available at the top. Vote if you have an opinion. Let me know if you see anything noteworthy that should affect my decision.

Demello!! But seriously, they are doing a new 1st gen, it's been back-burned for now though for some reason. There is a thread on it with a GB feeler list.

May as well wait to see what Pelfreybilt has to offer later this year if you're gonna wait on Demello. That's been in the talks for a while and haven't seen an update. Pelfreybilt said later this year they will officially release stuff and there will be a GB. I may snag a swingout rear if the price is good enough

Any reason you'd not go plate bumper?

If I had to choose, trail gear cause you didnt seem to have any problems with it....

Pretty sure both the new DO and Pelfrey are plate bumpers. Tube for me.

I've been thinking of tube cause of the weight but I don't like being able to see everything on the front of the truck and I feel like plate is slightly stronger....

Not sure if Pelfreybilt will be doing just plate. But it does make the most sense

I'll just paint it all black behind it.

No idea, but I've never heard of a plate chasis, or a plate roll cage so I'll think tube will serve my not-so-extreme needs just fine. ha ha.

I like how MathewMay did the plate on his, i'd do it if I had a plate bumper.:D

And every time I see your truck, makes me want 255s instead of 285s.

Decided to do what I wanted to do anyway. Ordered the AP Baja without the headlight hoops, and their skid. A set of LCA skids will fix my alignment tab protection worries.
