A little grinding and paint for rust prevention made all the difference.

Now that you say than it almost does look like an unmachined blank doesnt it?
Ill have to wait till monday to get ahold of Wheeler's or Icon. Unless @YotaDan is around to chime in.

 

Got some email correspondence with Icon today.

They are overnight shipping replacements.
