I see no need for rear discs. The drums work just fine for me.

    See build thread
does the 340mm vs 323mm Kit come with the
    Same size caliper?

What are the size of the Pistons in each kit?

    Thanks

    A thing or two...
They make two 340mm kits. One uses a 6-piston ST60 caliper, and the other uses a 4-piston ST40 caliper. The 323mm kit uses a 6-piston ST60 caliper, as well. However, StopTech makes the ST60 with different size pistons, so it is possible that the ST60 in the 323mm kit is smaller than the ST60 in the 340mm kit. You would have to contact SOS to find out for sure.

The 323mm kit is designed to work with 16" rims. The 340mm kit is for 17" and larger rims.

I think the 6 pistons are the same size in those kits.

Anyone know if the 17" kit will fit my Stealth 6's or SR8's without having to run a spacer? @SCSPerformance?

Thanks for the honesty...If you rarely tow would you say the Centric Rotors and Porterfield pads is more cost efficient? I've had a problem with the OEM rotors heating up going down hill and warping. I rarely tow but sometimes have heavy loads in the bed. I recently smoked my rotors going down hill with a pallet of wood flooring so it's time to upgrade. Just not sure if it's worth $1,600 to upgrade to this vs better rotors and pads and still have money left over to locker and gears.

    Opinions are welcome!

Just an FYI, but Centric makes Stoptech branded rotors. I would definitely give the Centric rotor and Porterfield setup a try. Give it a good fluid flush, bed them in properly, and I think you'll be surprise how well this combo will work. I like to have firmer pedal feel so consider adding some SS lines up front.

I recently installed EBC Sport rotors and yellow pads due to the OEM stuff having warped with 25K miles on it. After bedding in the EBC package is quite sporty and stops with some urgency. I have a 25 mile tow with 3,500lb travel trailer on them and remained impressed (never had to do anything more than a normal stop however). For the $260 I paid for the kit through AutoAnything I would highly recommend them.

Cool that's what I really needed to know. I really need to spend my truck budget wisely now that I'll need to start spending money for maintenance.

    Hey Guys,
I'm looking for a pair of OEM disc covers/backing plates (Gen2) that are in good condition. (Mine are rusted out bc of NYS saltly roads.) If anyone here that's done this upgrade has a set laying around, please let me know!
    Thanks, Mike
