    Hi all,

I'm new to the forum and wanted to kick it off by posting up my winch bumper build. I wanted to see if anyone had suggestions for accessories to put on it, or if anyone would be interested in dimensions to build there own.

So at completion of day two, the bumper is done and just needs a but of clean up. I decided to install a 10k winch from tractor supply.20170219_181907.jpg 20170219_133649.jpg

Also, I wanted to get everyone's opinions on a few things - 1. Fog lights or no fog lights. If so, round or Square and where?
    2. I want to install two d rings. Where should they go?

I'd weld in the shackle mount points so they can be welded into the support structure that is bolted into the frame.

As of right now, the entire support structure is 3/16th plate steel. Do you think that will be enough for winching etc.?

So, day 3 of the build the bumper is nearly completed. I ended up adding additonal supports at the bottom of the bumper, to tie it into the bottom of the radiator support. I definitely feel much more confident that it won't fall off the first time I use the winch.20170220_145213.jpg 20170220_162902.jpg

So got the bumper painted, d rings on and it all hooked up, now something in the front end is popping ...any ideas as to what it could be?

I don't have the 12-15 yota so the front bumper wouldn't work but if your looking to throw the rear bumper dimensions out, I'm all game!

How much clearance do you have to body panels? Do you have a half inch for movement between the body and the frame?

That's looks really good. I have an '11 just like yours with the same wheels even. I'd like to build bumpers for my rig too.

I'm totally building your bumper for my truck! The plates coming off the stock crash bar location, you used 1/4". Any pointers? I saw that I should keep 1/2" of clearance from the body to the bumper for flexing?

Subbing, two years late haha. This is one of the best looking bumpers I've seen on a 2nd gen, hoping to start the cardboard build for my front bumper soon. Awesome thread, can't believe it hasn't gotten more attention.
