Not super cheap, but I did say it isn't expensive in the grand scheme of things. If you plan on keeping the truck for 8 years or more, and you upgrade the suspension right away, you get a lot of good use for your money. If you spend $2,500 on suspension, not including installation, and forgo all the superficial exterior mods first, than it is money well spent. The sooner you upgrade suspension, the more you'll get your money's worth over the life of your purchase, and put that $2,500 to good use, everyday you drive your vehicle. Plus, you will have a better suspension than the majority of other car/trucks on the roads. The reason I was considering the Sport was because of the hood, but it is faux. Why are car manufacturers not making them real, doesn't make sense to me. How much more would it be to Toyota to manufacture one that is real.......

What is the main reason people choose the Sport over the OR and Limited? The hood right? Or not wanting the black fender flares?

Does anyone know if the seat construction/foam etc. underneath, other than the cover material, are the same?

    Note, no ellipsis for Hutch.

My 2 cents.... I preferred the look of the sport with the hood scoop. Yes I know it does not do anything.... Although I likely would have gone Limited if there was any other leather colour than brown. Just my taste. I ended up with TRD Sport. I'm not looking to off road and I know it will tow when I need it. I was disappointed the sport didn't come with homelink but I've gotten used to it with my previous Tacoma. I did add the JBL and haven't regretted that.

This fine little truck, with manual seats and no memory, will cost more that our "flagship" Avalon did.
    Shhhh, our secret.

Maybe something like a Canyon Denali would be a better choice since you don't want a full size any longer.

This has been suggested, again, no sunroof is a deal breaker.

I had a 2 gen Trd sport and when I wrecked it last month I purchased another Trd sport. I like the way you can option the things you want or don't vs. the limited you are very limited. You pay for what they want you to have for the limited. I just checked in my area and super white is the only option for limited. So I hope you like super white or wait a long time to get the color you want. Yes, the hood scoop does restrict your view but compared to the 2 gen I hardly even notice it. The new design has it a bit recessed. Side note I like the old Bilstein shocks on gen 2. New one is however softer and takes the bumps a bit better.

$2500? More than that. After exchange rate my whole fox kit with Dakar was close to $6k.

Problem with doing the real scoop then they'd need to change the engine layout for the sport for it to work. So it would be different from the rest changing price.
Isn't the sport cheaper than the off road as well?

Let us know what improvement you get with the scoop please. I agree it does not do any thing, but it does wonders for the smile factor, and if I was to guess that's why you went and got a scoop.

I use my truck for general homeowner renovation duties and occasionally hauling my 4 wheeler but mostly I need a pickup to tow my camper. I like to take my family camping and love to travel far from home to see different parts of America and experience new things. You know what enhances those long drives? Luxury features and premium tech. Heck, my wife and I use the heated seats and/or dual climate control every single time we use the truck.

I need a truck, why wouldn't I want to enjoy driving it and be comfortable while doing it? What exactly don't you get?
