I was reading about a guy who converted his prerunner into 4x4 for under $1000.00, after selling the transmission. What parts exactly would I need? Transmission/transfer case. Front axle, front drive line. And........?

Suspension, 33s, some armor... Rust, Gray wire and 2Low, and more. T4r is stock.
Depends on options and how clean you want the install to look and what options you want. So things like a center console, J shift or push button, manual front hubs or full time hubs, and so on... I would suggest looking through the build threads on here and figure out exactly how you want it when you're done. Then create a part list. If you're lucky maybe you can find a wrecked 4x4 to use as a donor vehicle. Then there's the most important part... Document your efforts and progress and post on here for all of us to enjoy! Good luck!!

It's at the very top of the 1st gen section. It's called a "Sticky" Look there

See how this says Sticky threads? Look through there. But yeah there might not be a prerunner/ 4x4 conversion in the Sticky thread section. Not sure

Thanks for all your help. I haven't found that part of parks off road. Also I've found a lot of videos on YouTube. And on the web of things I need to do. Looks fairly easy. And inexpensive. Also found a video on what I need to do to my existing transmission to convert it to 4x4. Which looks easy also. And also knocks the price down. Thanks again.
