one of my favorite posts- I use the word sorry more often now as it is fun to speak Canadian. Also chuckle when one of my Northern brothers uses the word- cool to be "in the know".

And all kidding aside, props to @Peanut83 - this is what TW is really all about - thanks

Mine has a very small clearance between the metal bracket and the sleeve protecting the hose. If the sleeve wasn't on, it wouldn't be close to touching at all. However, it is still rather close and I will be grinding some metal away as a precaution. Thanks for the heads up. Decided not to grind. Put a tie-wrap on it and moved the hose downward a bit. The tie-wrap is around the protective sleeve. Time will tell if it moves or not.

No, I meant SORRY, just like I said. The joke did go over my head or under my legs, or something.

Toyota will probably revise the hose (e.g. mold a 90 deg bend into it) in 2019 or something...

Why not just remove the hose, cut 1/4 inch off and put it back on ?
    Then you have clearance.
You might not even need to remove the hose. Just take a razor blade score 1/4 inch all the way around cut it off and push it down a little.

That looks like it would work on my truck. I will be showing it to toyota at first service and see what they do first.

Hey thanx OP... I just performed your mod to the bracket... less than 5 minutes.
Mine was touching and the "hose protector" sleeve looks like it has rubbed a fair bit.
Better safe than sorry.:canada:...Oh, and by sorry, I mean "sorry"...HeHe

If you were looking under the hood instead of posting 7000+ armchair messages you might have been smart enough to find this almost negligible issue.

Checked mine and it was rubbing. Pointed it out to the dealership during today's routine service and they ground back & painted the bracket.

It's not the consumers job to play mechanic. This is absolutely a design flaw on part of Toyota.
