I just got my 2014 Tacoma and I want to lift it or level it about 2 inches... I'm just wondering if any of y'all have any good ideas for lift or leveling kits. Thank you.

I bought bilsteins 5100s and will put them on in September I'm very busy and am waiting to purchase tires so I can have tires and the shocks on at same time probably going to get 265/75/16 Toyo open country mts and set the front shocks at 1.75 if it's too much lift in the front I might put a 1 inch block in the back or get a aal

I thought about the 265/75R16 but they keep pushing the 285's. Whats your reasoning for not going with a 285? Why did you go with the Belsteins instead of a Readylift?

I still might go with 285 butttt... I looked at gear ratio and tire size charts and if I'm reading them right 3.73s (which I have) are just enough for 265 but would be under geared if I got 285s

Also I went with bilstiens because it was more my style and I've seen so many people run the 5100s and say they are great

    Call Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road

Tell her your goals, along with how you intend to use the truck. Like are you looking for a pretty boy lift, or actual function..........

Either way she'll recommend the right bits. If it's more than you currently have planned for budget, keep saving. Do it once, do it right.

I have a 2.5 RC level with 1 inch block in back. Toyo OC A/T 2 265's. It has about a 1/4 rack to front which I don't mind. I like the way it turned out.

So I went with the Bilstein 5100 shocks and struts on my 2014 TRD off-road. 2.5 in the front and the 1inch in the rear, it's a little nose high though. I also put on BFGoodrich AT KO2 265/75R16 with stock rims. Thanks to @Clearwater Bill for recommending @HeadStrong Off-Road

Love the truck pretty much how I want mine to look... how is the ride up front with the shocks set at the highest setting is it a lot stiffer than stock?

When i bought my truck it had bilsteins set at 1.75, stock coils and 265's. I went up to 33's and coilovers but I gotta say the previous setup was pretty damn smooth, looked good and got me 2 extra mpgs. Mentally a lot cheaper if that makes sense. Didn't have to stress on rubbing/ trimming or cv angles, boots. Happy with my setup but maybe would have been just as happy if i kept it at that

So you just had the 5100s set at 1.75"? No lift in the rear? I'm looking at leveling my truck but only want to screw with the front end. I'm exactly 2" higher in the front so I was thinking the 5100s in the front set to 1.75 would be pretty good.

Yes it had tsb rear. So 3 leaf + the overload. Probably would have left rear alone if i didnt have shell and tool box which had leafsprings sagging pretty bad. Ive always liked a truck level or no rake. Tacomas are usually taller in the rear. The 1.75 is just leveling it out usually.

That should work for you. Here is mine with just 5100s in the front at 1.75.

    Then my 3in kit

What size tires for the top picture? Did you measure how much lift you got in the front from the 1.75? I imagine its not perfect.

    Thanks!
