Haha, back to square one...thanks though! Feeling pretty good about my plans for this truck.

Yeah, ICON extended travel coilovers up front with Camburg UCA's, ICON shocks out back paired with OME Dakar leaf springs.

I had to remove an overload and a leaf from the pack since I added an axle relocation kit (about as thick as the overload) and wanted to lower the rear a little.

Go for it! Miss the interior space of the double cab already. Yours is looking good! I briefly scrolled through your build thread and noticed you were out there having some fun in the truck. Good stuff man!

I was thinking of making a new thread that included both trucks to sort of summarize what went down a little more clearly. I got lazy though, too much wrenching on my mind. Maybe once I'm further along on this truck.

Raised the front a bit, installed the following:

    - Bed rack with hi-lift jack
    - Tie downs in the bed along with spare tire
    - Repainted and installed front and trans RAT skid plates

Going to try and weld on the Beefed Taco sliders I originally had on this truck. If anything, I'll end up bolting on the BAMF set I had on my previous truck:

Got the sliders on today. Thanks to @Ritchie for welding them on and the bro in law @nihkon for hanging out (ah, I guess you helped a little).

I pumped the floor jack a few times, took pictures, and made sure Mike's dogs always had a hand rubbing their heads. I guess that counts as helping ya? lol

It looks great with the sliders on there brutha!

Just now getting a chance to check out your pictures. Looks like a fun run! I'm in So CA and really need to get out there and do something similar. Maybe the snow !

What part of SoCal are you in? The next time we go out for a trail run, I'll let you know. I've never wheeled in the snow but that looks/sounds fun!

Hoping to update this thread in the next couple of weeks. Also trying to figure out what the best route would be to get the best balance between ride comfort and load carrying ability with about a total of 1.5-2" lift in the rear over stock. I have ideas but would like to hear first hand experience/reviews on your setups. I roll around unloaded (well, just a hi-lift) most of the time and fill up the bed with misc gear (anything from light to heavy loads) at least 4-5 times a year.

So far, I plan on doing the U bolt flip kit and am thinking of going with Wheeler's 8 leaf pack set along with their Superbump bump stops. The Dakar's aren't working out too well for me on my extra cab. After removing the 3rd leaf and the top overload, it rides great and I'm happy with the ride height when unloaded. Of course the carrying capacity isn't going to be the same (I loaded it up with some fairly heavy items about a month ago and the shocks bottomed out quick, had to remove some items just to save my shocks), what's worse is I now have the dreaded "Taco Lean"...never noticed this on the DC with the full pack installed.

I've been contemplating whether to just toss in some Timbren bumpstops but feel that might be a temp solution (may limit up travel and give me a bouncy ride off road and unloaded). Reinstalling the 3rd leaf, overload or both might help, but I'm almost certain the ride height will be too high and unloaded ride will be too stiff for my liking. I'm also wanting to get rid of the axle relo plate, so unless I can think of other options, a new leaf pack is in my near future.

    ***EDIT***
Spoke to Wheeler's Off Road (I'm pretty sure it was @YotaDan) and am feeling better about trying this setup: reinstalling the 3rd leaf and installing some Timbren bump stops along with a u bolt flip kit.

Did you notice any difference w/o the sway bar? I've thought about getting rid of mine

I was expecting to feel the difference but it feels exactly the same on road. I can say that when I removed the 3rd leaf and 1 of the overloads in my leaf pack (this is when I still had my front sway bar on), the rear suspension rode a lot softer and that gave me more body roll. I plan to reinstall my 3rd leaf next week since the rear is actually too soft now. So we'll see how the ride feels once I have that back in.

I'm going out to hit the trails tomorrow with some friends. I'm curious to see if removing the sway bar helps when off road at all. Based on the guys I know that have removed it, as long as you have aftermarket/stiffer springs up front, on road it feels the same but makes a difference off road.
