Motorcycles BS Thread 2.0

Got both bikes out this weekend, took the s1r over to cars and coffee saturday morning. Cleaned them both up today since the weather was beautiful. Ive been trying to sell both bikes and get something cheaper on insurance but every time I ride the s1r I know its the bike I ultimately want to keep long term

 

DAT insurance money $$$

But if it's what you really want to keep then i say pony it up and keep it

I think if I end up keeping it ill just buy a nice hitch carrier to bring it with me that way it can get some use throughout the week instead of just the weekends, its just to justify spending that amount of money for insurance only to ride it 2-3 times a month

 

I hated loading on my hitch carrier. Enough so I moved my tent to the roof as you know. Maybe try to find a cheap trailer if you have room to store it?

 

I just have zero interest in keeping the FZ, its why I bought the S1R

Im not 100% on a hitch carrier (because it looks sketchy) but mototote makes a nice looking one that is pictured with a number of nicer bikes, or I could have austin make me one that ties not only into the hitch but also the recovery points so it would have 3 supports instead of just the hitch alone. I have room to store a trailer but do I really want to tow it everywhere and deal with restricted speed limits. Im not sure how I would feel about giving up the topper either but its a possibility

 

Limited speeds? Fuck that, I've always gone 70 still unless the trailer is sketchy and wobbly down the road.

 

Probably would never get pulled over but always possible I guess. Im sure ill figure something out in time.

Ive been thinking of either selling the FZ or taking it off the road and putting it in my basement.
