285/75r16 KO2's, Baja XL 80's on CBI ditch brackets, TRD intake, opticoat pro, clear bra running the bottom sides, morimoto LEDs, all white LEDs inside, mounted shovel and axe above wheel well in the bed, linex'd the bed...
Got Optiocoat pro on my cement pro right after picking it up.

Cleaned it for the first time today after offloading and then undergoing a few heavy days of rain. Just did a dry wash by hand. All of the dirt and mud came right off. Paint looks absolutely perfect. Not a scratch or swirl mark in site.

Definitely the easiest way to keeping this thing looking floor room clean even after a weekend in the dirt (and probably the only way for that matter).

A side note from the opticoat, I can't run mud flaps because my tires are too big and off road they'd fall off anyways. I ran a clear bra down the bottom of the truck instead. It's about a foot tall and goes from tire to tire. It follows the indent that runs the along side so it's almost impossible to see unless you look closely and know what you're looking for. But I put the opticoat over the clear bra for extra protection :) nothing is getting through to my paint!

I wrote this post because although some of you take the "it's a truck, who cares" attitude, a lot of you want to keep their vehicle in pristine condition while still having the option to off-road and not worry. Doing a ceramic sealant like opticoat is probably the best way to do that. The sealant bonds on top of the clear coat of your car and keeps it protected from the elements. Wax is great, but it only lasts so many months. The sealant from the dealership sounds great as well, but 1) they tell you it lasts 5 years and it doesn't (which is actually the trap I fell into, paid for and scheduled it a few days out, did my research and found out it was snake oil, cancelled it the day after signing the contract, and started doing more research to find this). Scam artists at the dealership... And 2) you have to reapply it every 6 months through them to keep the "5 year warranty". Opticoat comes with a 5 year warranty from the day it's applied and is the real deal.

Anyways, I highly recommend it (if you couldn't tell)... I researched it a lot beforehand, was on the fence, but now couldn't be more happy that I decided to go ahead with it. Not gonna lie either, watching the rain bead up and fall off the paint got me pretty excited lol.

Found a great shop in San Diego. If anyone is in the area and wants to get it done, DM me and I'll send you the dudes contact info. He runs a great shop down here.

How much did it cost, if you don't mind me asking?
    Been contemplating it.

Looks amazing. I'll be doing the same thing. I'm going to ask the dealer not to wash the truck or even remove the plastic, and then getting dual coat ceramic pro done.

I had my Audi S5 done. About a year into it, the water no longer beaded up. That's what sold me on it. I'm pretty sure the only reason the water beads is because they seal / wax it after.

Anyways, good product. I just wish the water beaded every time.

I just use sonax polymer net shield. It's like $19 a can and works very well.

I used C. Quartz Finest on our Macan. Had the wheels done also. Also have a Rock Guard clear bra on the car. I'm going with the same products on the Taco.

I started a thread in the detailing section I'll update periodically

Why start a thread like this without telling us the price of the process?

He's embarrassed at how much he spent on it and doesn't want to get bashed for it

The OP's post just sounds like an ad. I mean that was a long post about how great it is and how the other processes are ripoffs and then.... no Price on this great item? Just sounds like and advertisement for that guys shop....nothing wrong with that as the truck looks great ...BUT...everyone who clicks on here WANTS TO KNOW THE PRICE!
