Finally got mine on! Note: steel rim Toyota TPMS and lug nuts won't work with these rims.
No lift (yet), tires are Cooper Discoverer AT3's in 255/70/17

I have the the opportunity to buy a set of these FJ wheels just like the ones on this blue Tacoma . But they don't come with lug nuts. So I need your help guys . My question is will the lug nuts from my TRD alloy wheels work? I know the FJ wheels use the same style but are they the same length? Thanks in advance for your help !

My 2006 Tacoma TRD Sport 4x4 stock wheels got wrecked by the salt used in Boston winters. I have a chance to get 2008 FJ wheels. I really know nothing about wheels and tires. The only question I have is if there will be any problem with using my current tpms. I will probably have the local Tires Plus put the my tires on the new FJ wheels. From reading all the previous messages it sounds like there should be no problems. I just wanted to make sure so they do not try to sell me new tpms or and I know what to expect.
Btw, my truck has a 2" lift and my tires are Destination AT 265/70/r70's. I just want to make sure I will have no problems before I decide to buy the wheels. Thanks for any help.

I had no problem swapping out tpms from stock Tacoma alloy. I believe there is a thread or two about that as there may be an issue with the tpms used in steel wheels.

Swapping TPMS from alloy wheels to alloy wheels should be no problem. Tire shop may push for a TPMS rebuild kit as (they've told me) are required anytime you move TPMS to a different wheel. Discount Tire charges ~$6/ea for those and you can find Toyota OEM parts online for about the same price.

Swapping from alloy to steel or vice-versa isn't as straightforward and will carry higher costs.

Gentlemen, thanks for your help. I didn't end up buying the wheels as they were starting to blister too. Ended up getting new Pro Comp 1069's, at 4 Wheel Parts, for cheaper. Actually like the sporty look they've added to my Tacoma.

Well, late to the party as usual. But here are my FJ wheels on my Tacoma. I made sure to get these off the 07 when I traded to the 14. This was right after I installed the lift. Also have 1.25 spidertrax to push them out a little more. I have 285/75/16 dreams but not ready to do the cmc.

I'm also a member of this club.

Started off with 265/70/17 that came with the wheels but downsized to 245/70/17 when they wore out.

TPMS from 16" stock steel wheels transfered over just fine.

    Thinking of geting them powdercoated.

I’ll be joining this club soon. Found a mint set of 6 spoke 17” and the spare on Craigslist for $200. When my stock kbro’s wear out, I’ll be putting on 265/70/17’s.

Coming in 2018. They had all 5 and the spare tire, which is no good. LOL.

Looking through some old threads, really like those wheels! Had a set on my 4-Runner, thinking about the same on my Tacoma. Do you by chance have a pic showing the complete side of the truck? I like the offset on the wheels. Thx
